As portable as the handhelds it covers, the book fits handily in your pocket and features lay-flat binding for using right next to your Zire. Open this book to any full-color page and you'll find a time-saving idea you can begin using in five minutes, or read through the chapters one by one and learn how to better manage your time, contacts, music, photos, and a whole lot more. Now You Know Zire shows you how to do all that with hundreds of tricks straight from the get-organized team at palmOne™ Press.

Customer Reviews

4 stars has handwriting recognition
For the Zire handheld, this little book gives a quick runthrough of what you can do. Despite the small screen and pad, a surprising amount of features is packed into it.

Perhaps the hardest item to master might be the handwriting recognition system. If you want it to be successful in identifying your handwriting, then the book shows how you should train your input of letters, digits and symbols. Like being back in primary school. But with practice, you should soon pick it up.

The book also shows how digital colour photos can be stored and viewed. I'm not sure how widely useful this will be, compared to the handwriting.

2 stars Little Value for Experienced Palm Users
The information in this book tends to be very simple and basic. I suppose it might be helpful for those new to Palm handhelds, but anyone who has ever used one before won't learn much. That's not necessarily a criticism of the book, but the target audience is definitely the Palm novice. What's more of a "value-for-the money" problem, though, is that the Getting Started guide included as a PDF file on the CD that comes with your Zire has most of the information in this book. If you're a Zire owner, why pay for something that you already have? If you need more than the documentation that comes with your handheld, look for a book that is more advanced - and thus more useful - than this one!
