Product Description: The Kensington 64068 Micro Saver Notebook Lock protects your laptop computer from theft with a patented cable-and-lock system. This lock is constructed of a six-foot, super-strong, steel-composite cable with a carbon, tempered-steel core, and a patented, T-bar lock that provides superior lock strength and theft protection. Easy to install and use in the office or when traveling, this system locks into the standard Kensington security slot found in 99-percent of notebooks, as well as many flat-panel monitors, CPUs, projectors, printers, docking stations, tablet PCs, and other devices. This unit features a sleek styling and design that won't block notebook ports or lift a notebook off the desk, and a built-in, tamper-evident feature to detect unauthorized use. The Kensington 64068 includes two keys and a rubber tie for cable-cord management, and is backed by a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty. The Kensington 64068 has custom keying options available for master access, shared access, or supervisor-only access, with replacement keys available through the manufacturer.

Does what it says but not good for macbooks
This product does its job once you learn how to properly operate it. I first tried it on my wife's new hp laptop and it worked well. Then I decided to try it on my macbook and it actually pulled the plastic frame away from the screws on the left side leaving a small hole in the frame. I quickly removed it from my macbook. Since it didn't stay on my macbook long it doesn't seem to have caused any permanent damage but buyer beware if you are using this on a macbook. It will damage the frame.

Good
Lock works as advertised - easy to use, long sturdy cable. Key is bright orange - makes it hard to lose.

Very good for me
It's perfect. It does the job and thanks to the keys I don't have to remember any combination to unlock it.

Works like it should
This lock is easy to install, simple to lock and unlock, and serves as a great visual theft deterrent. That's really all you can ask of such a device. No, it will not stop a determined thief with a couple of minutes and a bolt cutter or who is willing to break off the flimsy piece of plastic on the laptop that the lock is designed to fit into. But it will prevent someone from walking off with your laptop when you leave your desk for a few minutes. If you need something more substantial than that then expect to pay much more money; otherwise, this lock works just fine.

very good lock for laptop
I bought this item for a French student in my laboratory, who had a European model laptop (I had never heard of the brand/manufacturer). The lock works well and I would recommend this product to anyone. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, perhaps it is not obvious to everyone, but this lock only works if you can wrap it around a fixed object (not a table or chair). Second, when you "unlock" the laptop from the Kensington lock, you must take the lock with you; otherwise the lock itself could be stolen.
