4 stars Super quiet
I have been using this cooler for around 2 weeks now and it works just fine. It is so quiet I can't even tell it is on. I have a 17" laptop and it fits underneath just fine and the included rubber feet elevate the laptop above the cooler. I also like the pass through USB connector so it doesn't use up one of my USB slots.

4 stars good product for that price
the finishing is good. Not that louf at all! Good price for the quality received. If any cons then just the choice of material! A better (more robust) plastic would be desireable. But again, for that price absolutely OK!

5 stars so far so good
i am using the cooler with a Dell Latitude D820 and so far so good. the laptop was previously burning hot to the touch underneath (even though i was propping it up at an angle) and the processing time was dropping significantly. the laptop cooler has helped a lot - i have had it about 2 weeks and although it sounds like the laptop's fan is on all of the time it is worth it for the cooling effect and faster processing speed.

5 stars This thing is amazing! It really does work!
I have to admit I was skeptical whether this thing would actually do anything or not, but wow, it really does work very well. I have an ASUS dual-core laptop with a 512MB ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2600 card. I installed Speed Fan and Core Temp to monitor the temps, and found that it was running EXTREMELY hot. I'm talking anywhere from 92-98 Celsius (~198-208F) at idle! That is just "scary hot" imo, so I started searching for cooling pads. I found this Antec had pretty good reviews so I figured it was worth a shot. Long story short, this thing works VERY well. My laptop is currently running at 79-81 Celsius (174-178F) as I type this review. That's a difference of like 25-30 Fahrenheit degrees, which is pretty huge imo. I'm also going to hit the laptop with some compressed air to blow out any dust that might be in there, so that could help as well. At any rate, I'm impressed and this cooler is easily worth the money.

As far as the blue LED goes, yes that little thing is VERY bright. One gets the feeling it might be damaging the corneas just to look at it, but it doesn't bother me because it is obscured when my laptop (which is a 15.4") is sitting on the pad.

The fan noise, even on the "High" setting, is drowned out by the laptop's internal fans (which admittedly are a bit loud themselves), so I am not noticing any "extra" fan noise.

5 stars Great even for 17'' laptops!!!
I was a bit skeptical before purchasing this cooling pad. I needed to find a pad that would fit under my jumbo 17'' laptop and this one did the job. Of course it would be best for a 15.4'' laptop but it did great for my 17''. Both of the fans sat right under my heat vents. Another perk to this cooling pad is it's durability. This one is actually made of metal. I previously owned the targus chill pad a month ago, and 2 weeks later the fans broke. It was a plastic piece of junk.
