Product Description: Radiohead's third album got compared to Pink Floyd a lot when it came out, and its slow drama and conceptual sweep certainly put it in that category. OK Computer, though, is a complicated and difficult record: an album about the way machines dehumanize people that's almost entirely un-electronic; an album by a British "new wave of new wave" band that rejects speed and hooks in favor of languorous texture and morose details; a sad and humanist record whose central moment is Thom Yorke crooning "We hope that you choke." Sluggish, understated, and hard to get a grip on, OK Computer takes a few listens to appreciate, but its entirety means more than any one song. --Douglas Wolk

5 stars Chris Martin Rolling Stone 2008: "I would give my left ball to write anything as good as OK Computer.."
This is easily one of the best album ever. An album attains the status of 'epic' when you can listen to it 3 or 4 years after your first listen, and still get the same chills and still experience the same anxiety and mood changes.

I understand why some people may not appreciate this album as much as others, but honestly, what everyone else has said is true, the more time you spend listening to the CD the more beautiful it becomes. I can't really see any current alternative bands ever releasing anything that could even be COMPARABLE to this CD for the next few decades. This album is like our generation's equivalent to Dark Side of The Moon

One of my Favorite Moments comes in Paranoid Android: The descent after the chaotic guitar riffs (It's incredible how much this album plays with your mind/emotions.. This song gets you extremely riled up, only to plunge you into a ridiculously relaxed, almost hypnotic state, and then back up again)

Watch Karma Police live in Glastonbury online, its awesome

From June 2008 issue of Rolling Stones:
"I think if you imagine Radiohead going through a jungle clearing a path, then we're the ones who are probably just criminally paving it. I would still give my left ball to write anything as good as OK Computer. I would become a eunuch just for 'Paranoid Android'"

- Chris Martin, Lead Singer of Coldplay

5 stars much better than OK
i love this one from Radiohead. Its been awhile since this was released but i've only got into Radiohead after i purchased their latest "In Rainbows" and decided to check this out. It's everything that's in their current release and then some. It goes without saying that its one of the few cds that i can listen to from beginning to end without skipping over a song or losing interest in the cd midway through.

They have a way of bringing out the music without all the unnecessary distractions and things that doom other cds while in production. It's subtle yet forceful and energy filled as well. I could go on and on about "OK Computer" but most of it has already been said by other folks many times over. So i'll just end this by saying that Radiohead has a new fan in me..all because of this cd.

5 stars OK Computer...Sure, why not?
Well, it is hard to describe this album. It addresses many different problems in thick layers, that may take a long time to decipher. But, this album, this band, is still relevant to this day, and i think that do not get all the critical praise they so rightfully deserve, even with their great critical acclaim. But, hey, in a world where people see "My Chemical Romance" as one of the greatest bands, who gets what they deserve?

This band is a breakthrough band, which inspired other bands such as Coldplay. This album is a hard album to follow up behind, because of the way they describe humanity with beautiful production and sounds, whether its the soul bending keyboards and guitars or Tom Yhorke's beautifully distorted voice, OK Computer is a beautiful album that shall be cherished forever.

4 stars Ok Computer Better Than OK.
This is a great cd that definately requires your full attention while listening to.If you don't,you most likely will not appreciate the cd for all that it really is.My favorite tracks are all of them except Exit Music and The Tourist.I just haven't really found much appeal in those two tracks yet.

4 stars There's a difference between liking and obsessing, and there's a difference between disliking and loathing
I admit: I am a very recent, shall we say, "convert" to Radiohead. I enjoy their music. I started with In Rainbows, and I liked it. It's a little bit poppy, a little bit arty, a little experimental. I have different phases in music: sometimes I go through classic rock phases, sometimes folk, sometimes electronica, sometimes progressive, sometimes alternative. As of now, I'm in a bit of a Radiohead/Moby kind of phase. But here's the thing. I like In Rainbows, and some songs from The Bends (notably High And Dry) and some songs from Kid A (notably Optimistic). And although Radiohead happens to be what I'm listening to for the most part right now, that doesn't mean they're Gods.

OK Computer is a cool, arty, minimalistic guitar rock album. It's very textured. It doesn't have specific catchy melodies, but it's captivating enough to listen to again. Some of it is weird. Some of it is not so weird. Standout tracks are "Karma Police," a poppy piano/guitar-driven ballad with some really intelligent lyrics, "Airbag," a creepy arty opener that's one of the most textured and ultimately rewarding songs, and "Paranoid Android," a three-part (kind of) epic that is comparable to Bohemian Rhapsody, even if it's nowhere near as complex.

So yeah, I like the album. I'll listen to it again. But guess what: I'm not hailing it as the best of the 90's. Why? Because it's not. It's intelligent, it's captivating, and it's a great album. But just because it has all these qualities does not mean it's the best. It does not mean Radiohead's the best band. It does not mean I'm going to force you to listen to it, and force you to agree with me that it's the best album ever. The sad part is, some people are forced to listen to it, and they end up agreeing that it's the best album ever because it has these qualities. They trick themselves into thinking that it's the best album ever, just because they like it and loads of other people like it. I think these people need to try getting themselves into other kinds of music, and they'll see that although Radiohead is great in their own right, there's different music out there that's just as good.

And of course, there are those who sadly think that because some people are forced to agree that it's great, they shouldn't have to think it's great. In fact, they end up forcing themselves to think that it's terrible, just to avoid ending up like the other kind of people. What you get is the same result: a forced opinion that isn't necessarily true. Now, if you don't like albums that are heavily textured, arty, and minimalistic, and prefer more uplifting lyrics, that's fine. Listen to something else, but don't force yourself to think that this is the worst album ever, and that all who like it are idiots. Just as all those who like it shouldn't force themselves to think that this is the best album ever, and that all who dislike it are idiots. Maybe you'll be better off.
