Finally a stones album that is worth the money......
Ever sinse Sticky Fingers a album that almost every song is good or better.This album has got it all,Jaggers raspy voice,Woods not drunk and he never played better,And finaly Richards on lead and you can actualy hear him playing his heart out,not even high. Free

What a Treat!
My husband and I went to see the movie as soon as it came to our area. The CD enables us to relive that experience time after time. The sound quality is excellant and with 2 CDs you get the full experience of all the songs.

well, the cover's all right I suppose
Absolutely terrible, how these wrinkly old white boys have persuaded you all to cough up your hard earned for so long is one of life's great mysteries. Do yourself a big favour and don't follow the herd. Give it a miss.

Disappointing
Double disk set has maybe 2 decent songs. Stones are getting "long in the tooth" and the vocals show it. Too bad, but at least I still have their original recordings of the songs.

Mediocre
The first rock n roll record I ever bought was "Let It Bleed". I was 11 years old at the time. I still have the cassette tape. It's been played literally hundreds and hundreds of times...many of those times on a single speaker cassette player that I had back then. I'd put it on my pillow, and fell asleep many times before it turned itself off at the end of side 1 or side 2, as the case may have been.

Since then, I've probably bought a dozen Stones records, but to this day, only "Let It Bleed" and "Beggars Banquet" have really stood the test of time.

Much has been written about "Exile..", but, that, and the rest of the Stones catalogue, just don't hold up to those other two.

I've seen them more than a half dozen times since the 80s. Sometimes, they've really been "ON". Other times, they've put in a half ass performance.

This, for all the hype, sadly falls in the latter category. I saw two shows just a couple of months apart during the 2005-2006 world tour. The first was just so-so, but during the second show, they blew the roof off the arena.

There are some highlights here. "Sympathy" being at the very top. Keith lays down one of his legendary leads. Another highlight is "Champagne and reefer" with Buddy Guy, during which the boys showcase their blues roots full blast.

I've never been a fan of Keith's solo stuff, or most of his songs written for the band, but he does a great version of "You got the silver" here.

The rest of the show is just plain uninspired. I'll defend the Stones as one of the all time best rock n roll bands, but the half ass effort displayed during much of this show gives my buddies who say they're past their prime some fresh ammunition.

I don't think they'll ever be past their prime, but, as I said at the beginning of this review, sometimes they're "ON", other times they're not. They weren't at the Beacon.
