Product Description: As is true with so many roots-rocking bands based in Austin, Texas, a sweaty club brings out the rambunctious best in Reckless Kelly, giving them a chance to stretch out and let loose on their first live recording. From the pulverizing opener of "Sixgun," which owes as much to AC/DC as the roadhouse, through the new party anthem, "Wiggles & Ritalin," and the reflective, acoustic "Wicked Twisted Road," the band feeds on the call-and-response energy of the hometown crowd and pays it back. The set offers tribute to Lone Star natives Alejandro Escovedo ("Castanets") and the Texas Tornados ("Guacamole"), as well as farther-flung inspirations such as Richard Thompson ("1952 Vincent Black Lightning") and the Beatles (a bluesy "Revolution"). "Baby's Gone Blues" begins as a riff-rocking piledriver and ends as a fiddle-driven breakdown, an encapsulation of the musical progression embodied within the band. On twangier fare such as "Nobody's Girl," frontman Willy Braun could pass as a vocal ringer for Steve Earle. --Don McLeese

5 stars Don't Mess With Reckless
This CD set cover their best rock and country songs that they do. They start off with a high energy Six Guns tune that gets ya in the mood then progressively go slower in the songs till they build ya back up at the end with Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah. Great CD's Highly recommend.

4 stars Well Worth It
I really enjoyed this live performance, although I was a little surprised that the opening song "Six Gun" was a little slow. I guess the boys had to build into it because it doesn't take long for them to get caught back up.

As a word of caution I must say that figuring out all the words to "Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah" could take 8-9 beers so be prepared.

All in all I guess Reckless Kelly must be the best band on the face of the earth. Having them play Central Oregon would be better than getting 20 inches of rain.

5 stars RK
I have become a "Red Dirt" fan within the last 3 years after recieving a free satellite radio subscription. Reckless Kelly is right up there with CCR and the rest, these guys rock and they are country all in one.

5 stars I was here
What a great selection of songs from the boys from Idaho.1952 Vincent Black Lightning is incredible. To read the whole story about the origins of the song just search it on google. This CD captures the incredible energy of a Reckless live show.Keep up the good work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 stars Reckless Kelly was here
Got a lot of music for the money, but the recording itself was not real sharp. Haven't looked at the dvd yet, hope that's not the same.
