My all time favorite album!!!
Even 20 years later this album stands as my all time favorite!!! almost every track I know by heart!! I have seen NGDB 5 times in concert-they do not dissapoint!!!

The legacy continues
Years later, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band revisited this idea and once more went into the studio. They took with them some of the people from the first CD and added members of the next generation. Once again, they produced a landmark bluegrass CD of timeless music. The music, the people produce a feeling that pulls you in and plays with your feeling as good bluegrass will. Once you buy one, it is only a question of time until you want this one.

Pure Listening Pleasure.
This is an eclectic mix of country/folk type music. I love hearing Johnny's voice, Earl's pickin'. (I wonder who's gonna fill their shoes?!) Knowing that there were young people present and participating in this musical tribute to the old sounds made me glad. The next generation not entirely caught up with the new country sound. When I played "Life's Railway to Heaven" at my Railroad engineer husband's funeral, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. I bought a copy of this CD for my 37 year old son, at his request. Another younger fan won over!

El Bluegrass y sus seguidores en el mundo
Me siento muy afortunado al poder expresar mi opinión sobre este gran album de "The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band".
Soy chileno, (CHILE - SUDAMERICA) Y vivo en una cultura distinta y muy distante de estas raices, lo cual siempre me ha significado una gran dificultad para seguirla, pese a todo, he buscado la forma de estar siempre y desde muy temprana edad en contacto con ella.
Mi afición por la música, por el estilo rock.folk, y en especial por la guitarra, me ha llevado desde muy niño a acercarme a este estilo musical, tan rico en el uso de las cuerdas en toda su gama y de una composición tan simple que permite el virtuosismo de todos y cada uno de los instrumentos que la componen.
Considero que este CD muestra la evolución del "Bluegrass" en el tiempo y a través de las generaciones que lo interpretan, fundiendo en este album la raíz folklórica de este estilo, con el avance tecnológico de nuestros tiempos, sin perder el espíritu que lo identifica.

Vol. 2 SUPERIOR to Vol. 1
As a fan of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band for more than 30 years, it is easy for me to pick "Will the Circle Be Unbroken Vol. 2" as the band's best effort, by far. In 1989 the album won the Grammy Award for "Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal" plus two other Grammys for individual cuts, and won the Country Music Association's "Album of the Year." Pretty much enough said. Highlights include Paulette Carlson's vocal on "Lovin On the Side," John Denver's vocal on "And So It Goes," the incomparable John Prine on "Grandpa Was a Carpenter," and fine work by NGDB members throughout.
