HEADSET
WORKS GREAT GOOD SOUND AND GOOD PHONE COMMUNICATION WORKS AS IT SAYS AND DOES ALL THE THINGS IT SAYS IT DOES
|
work very well with my Motorola Q Sprint smart phone
set up is easy. Sound quality is very good. good high freq. and pretty heavy base. Therefore, I can use my smartphone as a MP3 player now. it also can play midi music files which most MP3 players can not. it is also worked very well as a cell phone headset. Only minor problem is that it is little too heavy. One good feature is that many control functions, such as skip next, previous, play and pause are built on the phone.

Works really well - some hitches
The product does what it says, hooks up to bluetooth devices, and you can hear and say things. I have hooked it up to my PS3, and it does play music through both ears, and you can hear others in both ears. I dont know if thats stereo or just the same channel played across both speakers. They were easy to connect, but didn't realize you needed a password to connect them so it took 5 minutes longer than expected. Not a bad product, they do look a little goofy cause they're kind of big hanging off the sides of your heads. Those in NYS looking to get these as hands free for the phone, keep in mind they're not that flattering. My wife wouldn't use them just because she thought they looked stupid....

More bad than good, not worth the price.
I bought this headset from Amazon.com several months ago, they were $80 or so back then. Big waste of money. But now at half that price I still don't think they're worth it.
Unfortunately I have one major beef with this headset. The issue is that it will not connect or even be recognized by BT adapters unless it is at 100% charge. Which means that if it doesn't connect on the first try, you have to plug it back in the wall and wait an hour for it to recharge. Which wouldn't be so much of a problem but it's flakey, sometimes it will connect on that first try and sometimes it won't.
Maybe mine's just defective, but I even purchased Motorola's USB BT adapter to go with it and the same thing happens with that. I've come to the conclusion that it's just a low-quality product.
For the record I have confirmed this problem on my new and old desktop PCs, my HP laptop, my Samsung phone, and my PS3. It connects most often to my HP laptop but about 50/50 to everything else.
Another complaint I have is that it isn't very comfortable. The headset is kind of heavy on the ears and becomes unbearable rather quickly for a headset.
The one thing that this product has going for it (and why I gave it two stars instead of one) is that it has good stereo quality. Not the best but pretty good for a BT stereo headset.
At the end of the day I don't use it. I just use wired stereo headphones for listening to music and a cheap wireless LG headset when I talk online. The only time I ever bother with my HT820 is when I'm on vacation and have my laptop with me. Wish I had my money back. Would not recommend to anyone else.

Kind of bulky, confusing controls and sort of works with an iPhone
I bought this headset to use with my iPhone. If you have an iPhone, read the last part of this review. Overall its an okay headset. Hooked up to my computer and I can now listen to the computer wirelessly. It is a little confusing getting it into pair mode. There are two "M" (Motorola Logos) buttons, one on the left and one on the right. It can be confusing remembering which one you should hit. It does not do much to reduce background noise. I am happy enough with it for the devices that it works with.
If you have an iPhone, this is not the product for you. Really, this is designed to listen to music through. If you want to just take calls a smaller ear piece is better. The iPhone(as of 1.1) WILL NOT play music through this well.
There is a hack that will allow you to play music through it. If you go to voice mail and turn on the headphones, and return to the iPhone, then it will play MONO music through the iPhone. However, the iPhone will still play through its built in speaker. If you plug ear buds in, then it cuts off the wireless headsets.
I do not fault the headset for the iPhone issues. The iPhone is just NOT currently setup(as of 1.1) to play music through headsets. I hope this changes in the future.
