Please, do not buy this translation pen!
This software of the pen is terrible! I grew up with computers and software, but this is just terrible. The pen seems not to have the menues, that the software asks for. I tried hours, even another PC, but I was not able to install the dictinoaries to the pen, because the software could not connect to the pen. I am very angry now, and I had to return the pen. I am now looking for a pen from another brand.
I had read the other comments before, about the bad software, but I thougt, I can handle that - I could not!

I received an excellent service from Amazon, but i got not service at all from tech support.

not OS X compatible
I was given the superpen as a gift to help with my grad school research, but I doesn't work on my Mac. When I contacted customer service about what software I could use or if it will run on a windows parallel system, they just said "tough luck."

Good functional scanning pen
I have used this scanning pen for only a few items, but it seems to work as advertised. The included documentation indicated that the pen would work 'out of the box,' but I had to download a dictionary to the pen in order to make it work.
This is the second pen that I received. The first one seemed to be very erratic. The batteries didn't appear to work, so I used new ones that I had on hand. Then, sometimes a menu item would be available on the pen and the next time it was not there. As instructed by the help desk, I removed the internal card and cleaned the contacts. This made the original missing menu item appear, but then another was missing. The original batteries did work after my cleaning. I finally returned this apparently erratic pen and it was courteously replaced by another which is now working as expected and advertised.

awful software
what a awful software it is! I spent an hour and couldn't make it work. btw, I am not newbie of computer.
