Worth every penny
The phone card works great, once you get the hang of it. I called for help on how to make an international call and the people were very courteous. No trouble at all making phone calls.

They e-mail the information on the card the same day and within hours. I will buy my second one today.

Haven't gotten my bill concerning the "shipping charge", but, that will be the only disappointment. Being charged for shipping for something that is e-mailed to you. If it was called and "handling charge" I could accept that.

Anyway if you buy one and have problems their help desk is FANTASTIC. After you use it a couple of times it is simple.

Completely dissatisfied
I bought the $20 phone card and am dissatisfied. Because only payphones were available, the toll-free access number had to be used. Using the toll-free access to a local land line to leave an answering machine message of less than 2 minutes (probably closer to 1 minute) caused the phone card to drop from 6 hours to 4 hours and 45 minutes. That's ridiculous. It should not cost 1 hour and 15 minutes to leave a message on an answering machine.

I would not buy this card again nor would I recommend this card to anyone else. I am very disappointed in this product.

Perfect for emergency or infrequent use
I've been looking around for a long-distance calling card for some time that:

1) Had no expiration date, and didn't require me to make calls with it every X months.

2) That I could use from a pay phone.

3) That had a relatively good price.

I don't have a cell phone, and don't travel much; but I want to have something I can use in an emergency from a pay phone, or from a hotel phone.

I'm amazed that the big companies (AT&T, Sprint, etc.) don't offer something to fit the bill, but they don't; I'm willing to pay more to get something that meets my specification.

I've used PinByEmail for several months, and it's worked very well -- no complaints. And the price, at $10, is perfect for what I want.

However, I agree that the shipping charges are disingenuous; it would be better to put the price at $9.99 with no shipping charges. I would have been more disgruntled about this if I hadn't known about this going in (thanks to the previous reviewers.)

Easy to use
Just pick up the telephone:

( 1 ). Dial the local access number or the toll free.

( 2 ). Enter the PIN number.

( 3 ). For USA domestic calls, Dial: area code + telephone number.
For International calls, Dial: 011 + country code + city code + telephone number.

Real cost over $10.00

These people are charging an additional $4.00+ dollars for a "E-Mail" pin number and calling it a shipping charge. The terrible thing about this is that you have to go all the way to check out to find this out, have to fill out all the information, credit cards and shipping address. Hey Amazon, this is a rip off. The real cost of this card is over $10.00 because they pocket the "shipping charge."
