Product Description: The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. Dreyfuss, considered a brilliant industrial designer, worked with Bell Telephone Laboratories designing telephones that were sensitive to consumers' desire to suit a variety of home environments. Well known for the 302 style Desk Phone, he later shifted his design efforts to include this wall unit allowing consumers to walk with the phone while cradling it on their shoulder. This unified and balanced form replaced the awkward and ungainly shapes of earlier models. Would you believe Dreyfuss actually used measurements from over 2000 faces to determine the distance between the average mouth and ear? The Crosley 302 Wall Phone features the nostalgic rotary dial but actually functions with push button technology. No more waiting for that rotary dial to make its excruciating slow rotation.

Looks nice; sounds good; feels cheap
I was replacing a similar looking but overpriced item from Pottery Barn and found this. The price is better and it looks nice. The phone audio is very good. While the handle has a nice feel to it, the body just feels cheap and the ringer is anemic. Still, it does the job and it definitely looks good on the wall.

So Disappointed
Bought this phone based on memories of quality Crosley products from many years ago. After less than 2 years in use, the humming on the line made me replace it. When I contacted [...], I was sent a new handset. New handset, same problem....my $[...] Princess clone from GE is of far better quality.

Very attractive and functional
I just finished putting in a new kitchen and one of the comments I always get is how great this phone looks. It is has the heft of an old-time phone and the sound is good. It is true that you cannot hold the handset between your ear and your shoulder. However, form generally follows function, thus the shape of the handset lends style to the phone. It seems solidly built and it really does look great.

Looks Great/A Few Drawbacks
I love the retro look of this phone, and it works good. Ringer is a bit loud, but not a problem. 2 drawbacks though, you cannot change out handset cord for a longer one. It is a permanent cord that comes on the phone. Handset does not rest on shoulder while talking, as it is sort of beveled rather than flat on the back, so you cannot rest it on your shoulder easily, should you need to free up your hands for a minute. Other than that though, the phone is nice and I don't regret the purchase, it's a really cool looking phone for my farmhouse kitchen style.

The phone is perfectttt!!! We love it. Reception is not quite what the 900mhz phones are but as good as the old phones were!
