Simply the best bedtime cd for kids!
I needed to get my children into a routine for bedtime. This CD offered a wonderful selection of songs to accompany all the things we would do before bed. The songs are so soothing for the little ones. I love this as much as my kids. I highly recommend this selection.

A "Must Have" every night at our house
My son who is five and one of my daughter's who is almost four both listen to this CD every night. It is an integral part of our night-time routine. In fact, when we vacation, we even take a portable CD player with us, just so that they can hear their "Barney Sleepy-time" CD. The music is typically, sweet Barney-ish music and there is kind of a rhythm to the pace in that the beginning of the CD is a little peppier and the second half is definitely more mellow and sub-dued. I have tried to suggest to my five year old that maybe he would enjoy some other type of night-time CD---but no go--at least for now, this Barney CD with its sweet, peaceful tone is what he wants. Our two year old is ready for her big girl bed--so it's almost time to order her CD, too.

A perfect bedtime routine begins here...
My three children have been listening to Barney's Sleepytime songs for YEARS. It is now in the hands of our youngest child, who will be 2 this summer. It is the ONLY cassette she will listen to at bedtime, and it is our second (wore out the first copy)...we're now investing in the CD version! Side One is perfect to play while your child takes his/her bath, brushes teeth, etc. It is a little more "uptempo" than the second side of the tape (or second half of the CD, whatever the case may be). The second half is VERY soothing... sometimes WE fall asleep as we rock the baby and sing along to the "nighty-night" songs. I'd recommend this to ANYONE in need of a new routine at bedtime, for ages birth-5 years. :)
