Tina Malia's voice is phenomenal! I saw her on local tv news show and was impressed...her sincerity and spirt seemed as sweet as her voice. She trained with her opera singer mother, but her warmth is down to earth.
I found this album by accident. I searched her website for her newest CD, which I ordered along with "Shores." I actually liked "Shores" better...not knowing it was a New Age favorite. Don't let the 'New Age" genre mislead you. This CD could please a wider audience.

Enchanting
Tina Malia has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I ordered this CD on a whim and it has made Tina Malia my favorite vocalist.

And her songs are very inspirational.

Take me to Avalon
I bought this album specifically for the song Shores of Avalon and have not been dissappointed with any of the album. It has been a joy to discover the diversity of Tina's talents.

PREDICTABLE, to far in the upper register, contrived
I have known Tina for many years and lived with her even, her music is all the same and never seems to progress in any other direction other than , neo-folk, high register, she is better off staying in coffee houses.

Mystical and Transporting
I needed a few rotations actually before I was drawn into the world of Tina. I think my first reaction was it felt a bit predictable, until I got over myself and fell deeply in love with every track on the disc, most notably the title track. The song has a life of its own, which any truely great song does, not to take anything away from the amazing artistry of Tina Malia. I have heard her perform this song live several times, and the effect is otherworldly. Spellbinding does not begin to describe her voice and delivery. As you can see, I am way over myself now, thank goodness and beautiful music to uplift us above and beyond.
