Absolutely Incredible - Must Have for a New Baby!
I've got to admit up front that I'm a HUGE Buffett fan, however, I assure you that this review is not biased because of that in any way. Just ask my wife - she plays the CD more than I do, but she "doesn't understand what the big deal with Jimmy Buffett" is. *grin*
That being said, our new baby, Madeline (now 6 weeks) has problems with swallowing a lot of air during bottle feedings, as many babies do. When her stomach gets upset, she has some of her worst and loudest crying fits and there is nothing that will calm her down... except for... you guessed it, this CD.
Within the first 15 seconds of the first track (Margaritaville), she's quiet as can be, and will sometimes even go right to sleep (along with some Mylicon and TLC) before the CD is halfway done. Before we started playing it for her, we would stay up for hours trying everything we could, including classical tunes and other lullabies.
So I would say that if you've got a new baby that happens to cry (is alive) and he/she's got feathers in her future, this CD may save your sanity AND get your baby on the track to becoming a little Parakeet.

Tired of the same ole same ole? Then get this album!
I love this album, our son loves this album... there are only so many variations of old classics that one can listen to without going nuts. I enjoy listening to my favorite songs for a change while rocking my son to sleep. You could even play this in your car just to mellow out.
There are no lyrics, so I fail to see how playing this for your child in any way affects them negatively.

The bad taste isn't just in my mouth, it's on this CD!
What an absolutely wretched concept: lullabies for infants based on Buffett songs with titles like "Margaritaville" and "Why Don't We Get Drunk (and Screw)" - surely this is someone's idea of a (bad) joke. Why not skip this and go right to the Marilyn Manson lullaby album? Or better yet, G.G. Allin?
