Product Description: Deriving from a variety of influences such as Muse, Chevelle, Blindside and Linkin Park, Red brings a unique blend of heavy guitars, intense string arrangements and dynamic vocals. They are quickly gaining fans with an exceedingly intense live show every bit as compelling as their debut cd. Already touring heavily in the mid-west and west coast, Red has quickly made many fans along the way. With over 20,000 friends on myspace, the band makes it a priority to write each and every fan back personally. Randy Armstrong says, "It is important that our fans see us as genuine guys who care." The songs on their debut release deal with the struggles that all humans face, while leading listeners to a place of redemption in the midst of the brokenness. Red hopes their music impacts people in a way that causes them to not feel alone in their struggles. Randy explains, "I hope that our music has a profound impact on people. You never know what people are dealing with in their every day lives, but I am willing to bet that at some point, we all have experienced the same feelings of anger, sadness, confusion, etc. Our music talks about a lot of those times that we have struggled dealing with those feelings and the situations that caused them. I hope our music makes them feel like they are not struggling alone." Produced by Dove nominated producer Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse, End of Silence releases June 13th. The band will be touring with Day of Fire this spring then playing at many major festivals this summer and will continue to hit the road throughout the fall.

What a surprise - This group is AWESOME - If you like Skillet You'll Love Red
I stumbled accross this group on-line. I tell everyone who enjoys a bit harder Christian music to check them out. I love the way they mix acid rock with classical instramentation. Brilliant arrangements, fatastic words with exceptional vocals and musical accompaniment will take this group far (that is if they can continue to produce albums like this).

Red Rocks!
I enjoy the rock-ier side of Christian music, and this cd is really hot! Almost head banging music, with an orchestral backgrounds, it is different and diverse....should appeal to those Christian rockers who love intense lyrics and music to get you going!

Breath of fresh air into Christian Music
The best part about this album is how they integrate symphony strings into the heavy rock. the guitar riffs are pretty simple, the vocals are good, a little "emo" every now and then, and lyrics can be repetitive in a few places. It's a dark album with a bright message.

Believe the hype...this album is brilliant!
I had heard many great things about this album and this artist in general, and so I finally saw this album at an electronics store at a heavy discount and decided to pick this album up. I'm sure glad I did...this is an incredibly high-reaching debut with energy that really drives home the power of this band.
From the static-and-pop of the haunting intro, the listener can really get the sense of this album's power and mystique. The first full-length track, "Breathe Into Me", slams the hammer down upon the listener's ears, utilizing strings, surging guitar riffs, and raging vocals all thrown in your face. "Let Go", "Already Over" and "Lost" continue this same pattern, with Barnes' powerful vocals gliding over the brutally-effective music.
A standout track is "Pieces" which begins with a gentle piano and acoustic guitar and builds up to pounding drums, roaring guitars, and weeping strings over a six-minute period. The second half of the album, continues the aforementioned format, with more strings and even heavier guitars, really giving a climactic feeling to the album (see "Gave it All Away" and "Hide"). The closer, "Already Over, Part 2", ends the album with a quiet piano track that serves as the perfect closer for this epic album (although it is only 47 minutes long).
For a debut album, the energy of this band and the variety of effective techniques the musicians use is remarkable for a first time out, making this debut album a must-have. While I'm skeptical of the band's ability to portray the same effect live (because of the strings), this is a great debut album that will knock you off your feet and sweep you away with its energy and power. Buy it now!
