Love the title song
I bought this CD for the title song. It is the same as in the movie "Rio Bravo" (my husband's favorite movie which we watch all the time). There is a strange intro by John Wayne but doesn't take away from the song, which seems to be cut off at the end just a few seconds too soon. I like several other selections, including the theme from "The Searchers". The others are OK with some that are strange. Why have Lorne Greene half/talk-half/sing the "Bonanza" theme? Just give me the real thing. The CD has songs you wouldn't find just anywhere and I like that. I really wanted the Dean Martin/Ricky Nelson title song and the CD was worth it to me.

My Rifle, My Pony and Me
A must for any man that loves westerns. My husband has played this CD so many times I'm surprised it still has sound. I have to admit that I also love it.

Love To Hear Those Old Forgotten Songs
This CD takes me back to when I first watched those movies and and (How Sweet It Is) to hear John Waynes natural voice when he introduces MY RIFLE, MY PONY AND ME. A treasure in it's self.

Very Nice!!!
Once again Bear Family comes through. There are some obscure tracks on this disc including Jimmy Stewart's Shenandoah and Dean Martin's vocal version of Rio Bravo which never made it into the movie!! Johnny Western's theme from "Paladin" is here as is the version of Frankie Laine's "Rawhide" with the whips cracking. I would liked to have seen Frankie's "3:10 to Yuma" and the other song that Dean and Ricky did from "Rio Bravo", "Cindy", and the them from "El Dorado", but all in all this is a very nice disc.

Beautiful - no other word for it
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. A must for both casual and die-hard Western fans. Great even if your sense of nostalgia doesn't reach that far back (like me; I'm 22). I love the combination of slow ballads and fast, jumpy songs.
