Product Description: It took over 20 years for Van Halen to release a Best of album, and even then, the band downplayed the effort. Instead sticking to the original plan of releasing a two-disc set--one of material with original frontman David Lee Roth, and the other with his 11-year replacement Sammy Hagar--the band opted for a single CD chronicling their entire career. For the previously uninitiated, it's a golden introduction to a band that changed the face of '80s hard rock. Guitar-blazing old tracks like "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," and "Dance the Night Away" segue into more commercial numbers like "Jump" and "Panama" from 1984. These in turn, set the stage for Hagar's slicker, more polished vocals on "Right Now" and "How Do I Know When It's Love." But while newcomers will be thrilled with the delights within, old fans will probably find little of use, since the two highly touted new tracks with Roth are pretty disposable. --Jon Wiederhorn

WHY NOT ANOTHER ONE ????
How stupid do a record label or band ( who knows which ) must be, that they won't make a partner to this album. WHERE IS VOL.2 ?? You must really not want the 1-2 million copies of this sold and all that money made. Wait much longer, and everybody will forget VAN-HALEN.

Van Halen Good Album
This album is a good van halen album and has all of there best songs on here but there isnt enough david lee roth stuff on this so buy this and van halen the first album its self titled. Some cool songs on here are, runnin with the devil, unchained, poundcake etc.

The 2 best things about this album!!
The best thing about this album is there are 2 new DAVID LEE ROTH tunes.
I never was a big van hagar fan, but the older Van Halen tunes are cool even though they could have added to the selection of songs.
Now that they have finally done the reunion tour with ROTH ten years later.
It looks like Van Halen can now fade of into the sunset...Yeah not!!
I would say it's worth buying just for the 2 new ROTH songs!!
I rate this album a 8 from 1to10!!
