Product Description: Country music queen Reba McEntire sounds like she feels at home with a variety of big-name artists, who wisely adapt to her style rather than making her stretch to accommodate them. Perhaps the biggest surprise is her duet with Justin Timberlake on "The Only Promise That Remains," which he wrote for her as an acoustic ballad far removed from most of the music he makes on his own. The power balladry of "Because of You" receives the full diva treatment in its teaming of McEntire with Kelly Clarkson, while Carole King adds some pop buoyancy to "Everyday People" (not the Sly and the Family Stone classic). LeAnn Rimes pays trans-generational homage with opener "When You Love Someone Like That" (which also closes Rimes' recent Family as a bonus cut). "Does the Wind Still Blow in Oklahoma," a duet with Ronnie Dunn, finds the pair writing as well as singing together, and Vince Gill offers his "These Broken Hearts" for the duet treatment. Faith Hill and Reba wring high drama from "Sleeping with the Telephone," which humanizes the war from the perspective of a soldier's wife whose husband is overseas. --Don McLeese

5 stars Reba remains on TOP
As a longtime fan of Reba's work, I was thrilled to preview and then buy this CD. The duet pairings and songs selected provide the listener with even more opportunity to fall in love all over again with the Queen of County - Reba McEntire!

Take a listen and I think you'll agree.. Reba continues to rock the country world with amazing sound and emotion. A particular favorite is "Every Other Weekend" with Kenney Chesney... just makes you appreciate all that divorced parents endure for their children.

2 stars Ehh...
I was a little disappointed with this CD. I almost found myself bored when listening to it. I expected a little more from Reba...

5 stars WONDERFUL
THIS IS A WONDERFUL C D I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED REBA SHE IS A VERY WONDERFUL SINGER VERY POWERFUL VOICE. I REALLY LOVE THE REBA AND KENNY DUET I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS C D FOR THAT SONG ALONE

5 stars Reba always ROCKS
I bought this CD for "Because of you", but the rest of the CD is good too. Of couse, EVERYTHING Reba is good.

5 stars If for no other reason...
...you should buy this CD just to hear the duet with Justin Timberlake, The Only Promise That Remains. But let me clarify a couple of things.

This isn't a true duet. In actuality, Timberlake only sings backup and not very much, but it's enough. He said on Oprah that he wrote the song for Reba when he heard she was making a duet album and even she (Reba) was skeptical until she heard it.

I'm not a Reba fan. I don't even really like country music. But this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life. If you don't like Justin Timberlake, fine. If you don't like Reba, fine. Set aside any reservations or prejudices you may have about the artists and just listen to the song, to the words, and the lovely arrangement, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

And actually, you don't even have to buy the whole CD to hear it, just download the mp3. I haven't listened to the whole CD yet, so maybe my 5-star rating isn't completely accurate or fair, but that song alone deserves it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Timberlake wins a Grammy for it.
