Product Description: For the non-Australians out there, the Wiggles are a quartet of male songbirds reminiscent of the Monkees, but aimed at the Barney-watching set. The Down Under foursome sings about mashed bananas and hot potatoes, dances with the energy of fitness instructors, and makes mild attempts at being educational. (Three of the four met while studying early childhood education.) Their stab at multiculturalism results in the Jewish song "Havenu Shalom Alachem." Joining them are a big green dinosaur named Dorothy (seem familiar?), Henry the giant purple octopus, Wags the Dog, and a man in a pirate suit called Captain Feathersword. The songs are catchy, the dancing vigorous, and the outfits colorful approximations of the uniforms worn by the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A couple of the haircuts look like they might have been acquired on the spaceship as well. The 15-song video runs 33 minutes long and claims to be appropriate for ages 1-8, but will most likely appeal to preschoolers and kindergartners. --Kimberly Heinrichs

3 stars Wiggles have catchy songs, yet a few annoying sequences
While my neice and nephew visited for over a week, this was the one video that was played (over and over) the most. The children love the music, and especially enjoy the octopus, Henry. I enjoyed it because whenever my neice was crying, she could usually be placated up by saying "fruit salad" whereupon she usually responed "'ummy, 'ummy". My only complaint, besides the inane Elvis impersonations, is the use of the puppets. These hideous creatures are supposed to resemble the cast of caracters. The sequence seems to be an attempt of remix, complete with vertigo swirls, and disco dancing reminiscent of "saturday night fever". The music of this scence is annoying due to a repetitous "biee" which is supposed to establish a beat. I can understand why the son of one reviewer was scared. The puppets made me want to run out of the room as well.

4 stars Freaky Puppets but my kids love them!
After listening to the Yummy Yummy cassette, I bought the video to watch my kids dance. Although the cassette has many more songs, the video is very appealing (except for the freaky puppets, but it is for the kids, and they think the puppets are funny) and the wiggle men are quite energetic and really get my kids, ages 4 and 18 months, up and dancing. Although, one number has me scratching my head - for some reason, during he Hebrew song Havenu Shalom Alachem, they feature dancing Oktoberfest girls instead of say, perhaps, an Israeli theme. Didn't make sense to me. Then again, it's for the kids and kids didn't seem to notice!

5 stars Wiggle Time
We Love the Wiggles! Our 2 and 5 year old daughters know all the songs and the characters. If Barney was comming to town and the Wiggles the same day, we'd pick the Wiggles. The best video is Wiggle Time. Its pretty long and has lots of great songs. We also have one of the Wiggles C.D's. I just can't say enough, except more, more more...... WIGGLES RULE.

4 stars Wiggles - we love 'em - especially the puppets
We agree with everything the other reviewers said - our 2 year old is enthralled - walks around singing "yummy yummy" all the time, etc. - BUT ALSO - we LOVE the puppets - the manic, happy energy - the pure silliness - so we hope they continue the puppets as well

4 stars Fairly Yummy - The Wiggles
I had heard about the Wiggles in Barney video previews and then read a review about them in a parenting magazine. The review there was very positive so we decided to buy Yummy Yummy and Time to Wiggle from Amazon as we could not find it otherwise in Canada. My 1 1/2 year girl and 2 1/2 year old boy LOVE the Wiggles, in particular, Captain Feathersword. I really like the fact that my son (who is currently undergoing investigation for some problems he is having socializing) really interacts with this video. He tries to sing to it and does all the actions. The down side here are the puppets... they scare the bejeebers out of me never mind the kids. They bear no resemblance to the people themselves and what they are actually doing in the video is unclear (except to maybe introduce the kids to what a nightmare is). Otherwise, well done, non-repetitive, and easily a favorite and entertaining video. For the adults, not annoying at all and very easy on the eyes.
