While this is not as rare as the first raritie CD, it's well worth getting
Just hearing Sarah and Emmylou Harris together is worth the price, "Angel" is, and probably will always be, one of my favorite of Sarah's songs. I didn't think anyone could add to this song--but Emmylou did.

I love the "Time after Time" with Cyndi Lauper. It's slower than the original Lauper song and in many ways, more thoughtful. I think Sarah adds the dimension to the song I was always missing. I like it better with her there.

And, what can I say about "Homeless?" Ladysmith Black Mambazo is one of the most amazing a cappella groups around. This is a lovely song no matter how it's done.

As I said, not as rare as the first volume, but the sound quality is great and it's well worth the price. I'm glad to hear Sarah McLachlan is back in the studios again. I hope to hear something new from her soon.

Rarities, B-Sides 2 And Other Stuff, Volume 2
I love this collection of songs from Sarah McLachlan. It has a nice balance - some live (Angel, Pills), duets Time After Time, Don't Let Go Just Like Me, and Angel, my favorite. The harmony of Sarah and Emmy Lou Harris is amazing. I only owned one album of Sarah's, Surfacing, when I bought this one so repeated content from other albums was not a problem. Now, I plan to buy all her albums.

Rarities B II
I really love the collection of songs on this CD but wish there was some orginal content. That being said, I heard Sarah is back recording and that next year may be likely for a new studio release. I think Netwerk is just keeping the skids greased. I certainly don't mind. Anything by Sarah keeps me happy.

A lot of reviews here are about her FIRST b-sides, rarities and other stuff (with a brown cover) - and indeed, it can be confusing, since some of the tracks from that very CD are on this one as well. I've been a huge Sarah fan since her early work in Halifax, and this isn't a negative review - but this CD surely is a revenue driver for her label; there's nothing so rare and so new on here as to conjure the joy we had when the first one was released. I agree with another reviewer; there should have been more content, with less of it recycled. Again, nothing against this CD; it's nice, but knowing Sarah's just had another child which most likely means a long hiatus until the next original studio album, well, i'd like to spank someone at Nettwerk/Arista. :)
