Product Description: Cash Money/Universal Motown Records multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne is once again taking control of the airwaves and breaking records in both with "Lollipop," the first single from his highly anticipated album Tha Carter III. This is the biggest add week that a hip-hop artist has received at Rhythm Crossover and the biggest any artist has received at Urban Radio including Beyonce and Mariah. "Lollipop," is being well received at key radio stations across the country including: New York (Hot 97), Los Angeles (Power), Seattle (93 KUBE), Miami (99 Jamz), Philadelphia (Power 99), Atlanta (Hot 107) and Detroit (Hot 102). Lil Wayne's MySpace page received over a million unique views this week giving him the #1 Top Artist profile on the site. The video is currently in heavy rotation at MTV, MTV2, BET's Rap City and MTV Jams, where it appeared as the Jam Of The Week. The "Lollipop" video is also in medium rotation at MTV Hits and on BET's main playlist. Lil Wayne will also appear on BET's annual Spring Bling and will be only the 2nd artist in the event's history to perform for an entire episode! Since the release of his last CD, the platinum selling Tha Cater II, Lil Wayne has guest appearances on over 70 songs for other artists including Fat Joe's 2008 Grammy nominated single "Make It Rain," DJ Khaled's "We Taking Over," and Wyclef Jeans' "Sweetest Girl." He also released a duet CD with Bryan "Birdman" Williams titled Like Father, Like Son in 2006 which was a critical and commercial success.

Like any classic - grows on you
I hated this album at first, especially relative to Carter II and some of Wayne's mixtapes, but then I went back to listening to self- conscious, overcerebrated artists like Lupe, Common and Hieroglyphics, and couldn't stand them. Going back to Carter III I realized how fresh it is in comparison and how much it had grown on me, in particular tracks like Mr. Carter, Phone Home and Let the Beat Build. Wayne's lyrics have fallen off, or at least failed to mature, but his pure unfiltered exuberance is contagious and that makes him the rarest kind of artist in my book.

Diminishing Returns on Tha Carter Trilogy
Tha Carter III was probably the most anticipated album of the year after many delays, publicity, and strong sales of the Tha Carter II many fans awaited this release. Being a big fan of Like Father, Like Son, and of course the Tha Carter, produced by the one and only talented Mannie Fresh this album fails to deliver in almost every aspect, lyrically and commercially. I really don't know where to begin with this album, but lets just say that Lil wayne needs to seriously ease up on the "Purple Drank", or the "Syrup" because he sounds like he's free styling the whole album and simultaneously struggling to stay awake. It seems as though Lil Wayne cannot write lyrics anymore, its just a few punch lines here and there some mediocre beats. I mean some of the songs are just unbearable to listen to preferably, Phone home, where he claims he's a martian!! "Mrs. Officer" is straight retarded. Lil wayne is so arrogant he feels as though he doesn't have to write lyrics anymore just make a cheesy beat with some meaningless garbage. I feel most lil wayne fans would agree with me if they listened to Tha Carter which is an incredible album. Unfortunately, Tha Carter III is the worst of the three by far, I mean his mix tapes, preferably "Tha Drought III" is by far better then this garbage. On top of all this he makes a bold claim that everybody knows by now, "The best Rapper Alive"??? Not so much so, Lil wayne, you better call your boy mannie fresh if you even dare to think about producing Tha Carter IV...yikes! But here is one suggestion, lay of the purple drank.....keep it real with yourself

The WORST sound my ears have ever had to hear in my life
This is by far the worst...worst...worst thing to ever exist. Yes this is the worst form of entertainment i have ever witnessed in my life. This is a sad country when people get paid millions to do this horrible stuff. i mean wow. This guy basically babels lazily and effortlessly over horrible "music" (it ain't music, the fisher price sounds my kid's toys play thats better music than this, no wait, that is music and this ain't even music at all!. All he talks about is how many girls he has sex with, how many other black people in his community he's killed, and how he's getting rich off it. no intelligent person would tolerate this junk. I would sell my soul to the devil so no one would ever have to listen to this cd again. thats how much i am sickened by the wackness of this cd. pick up IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE'S "THIRD WORLD" instead...AND HE BIT OF NAS' ALBUM COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

THA CARTER III
I LIKE THIS ALBUM. ITS TIGHT!! NO WONDER WHY IT HIT NUMBER ONE ON THE CHARTS. This album will be a classic! This album is an eclectic collection of songs that range simply brilliant to sheer genius. This album has also proved why he is the best rapper alive and to me, he is. This album sold over a million in its first week. This album will be multi-platinum.

Haters are suckers in my opinion
Wayne is a genious for a couple of reasons. One he creates music now not caring what people think about him which makes this album very unique. He also gets attention by saying he is the best rapper alive, to me thats genious. Because it attracts attention from people, even if you don't like him you'll listen at least once to see and if you end up liking his music then he's got you. Its been great seeing this crazy guy grow. One last thing great album my favorite track is DONT GET IT and then LA LA ("I don't give f?!# if you understand me. I love being misunderstood, why cause I live in the suburbs and I come from the hood")....Classic
