This cd is amazing from start to finish. If you don't like this cd then there is something wrong with you....not Mint Condition. lol. just kidding......well, not really.

The cd is hot people.

I'm writing my review three months after I bought this CD. First things first. In order to truly enjoy MC's music and get the complete Mint experience you have to loooovvveee and appreciate good music and be prepared for what MC feels like bringing to the table this trip. They are eclectic and good at it. Like one of the first reviews said, E-Life will hold onto old fans and gain new ones. I still play this CD like I bought it last week. "Nothing Left To Say" should go down in history like "Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)", "Gratitude" is one of the funkiest uptempo beats I've heard from them, "Golddiger" has that new school feel to it with some old school funk and "Moan" is straight dreamy. Thats just to name a few. With all that said, I gotta tellya, my favorite MC CD is "Livin' The Luxury Brown." Thats one of the best CD's I've ever heard from beginning to end with that gumbo mix all the whiners here miss on E-Life.

Minty fresh!
I LOVE THIS BAND. Seriously. I just saw them live (great show!), which is how I learned of the new album. Sad that a group this tight isn't getting more buzz!

Now, I must say that don't love this album in the same way that I love "Luxury Brown" (which was a pretty perfect, voluminous masterpiece), but it's still great! What I love about this band is their versatility, innovation, energy and dedication. And that extends to the lyrics. (Still unsure about that "turkey bacon" line tho. ;) But w/ MC, you get some ballads, some made for radio hits and some rocky bangers--all of which they do exceedingly well.

I'm giving this 4 stars for two reasons: 1) I'm not loving the single, "Baby Boy Baby Girl." I can't hate on the message, but it's a little Jaheimish for my taste. :) 2) When I first heard "Moan," I was loving it, but it started bugging me b/c it reminded me of another song. It finally hit me that it's very similar to Janet's "Anything" off Velvet Rope. I know, it's still a hot song, but it bugs me.

Aside from those two things, this album is not what I expected as a follow-up to "Luxury Brown," but that is not a bad thing at all!

Sigh.... but still a fan
As a Mint Condition fan I am disappointed with this latest release. I love this band and the fact that they have kept it together all these years with such a great sound. But this release is somewhat of a snore and not what I was hoping for. Hopefully they will get back to the essence and regal sound of Mint Condition with their next project.

LONG TIME NO SEE
I AM SO GLAD THAT MINT CONDITION IS BACK. THIS IS DEFINITELY A GROUP THAT HAS BEEN SLEPT ON.
