Product Description: 2007 studio album from the extraordinary singer/ songwriter and former member of Soft Machine. Produced by Wyatt himself and recorded with the help of Phil Manzarena, Paul Weller and Brian Eno, Wyatt delivers an album of Jazz-tinged Psych-Rock spilt into three acts with the last being sung entirely in Italian and Spanish as a protest at the war in Iraq, symbolizing alienation from Anglo-American culture. Customer Reviews

4 stars You will enjoy it
Semi-paralysed since an accident in 1973, the former Soft Machine drummer has become one of British pop's most recognisable, haunting voices. Hugely influential and musically varied, Wyatt is synonymous with uncompromising poignancy: his 1983 version of Elvis Costello's Shipbuilding, released during the Falklands war, remains one of pop's most powerful political statements. He has recorded with everyone from Peter Gabriel to Namibia's Swapo singers, and his recent Cuckooland album finds him on typically vital form. Wyatt can be as personal as he is political, and is able to sing equally movingly about love, brandy, and the joys of mustard. You will enjoy this CD. Very creative and lively!!

3 stars For Robert Wyatt fans only
This is a simple, aged product from Robert Wyatt. A few catchy songs leaning towards pop and away from jazz. Some of them will stick in your mind. But nothing as interesting as Forest or Trickle Down from the Cuckooland effort. This is miles away from the masterpiece Rock Bottom and the outstanding Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard. If you like Robert Wyatt singing anything then this is for you. Otherwise get (in this order) - Rock Bottom, Matching Mole's Little Red Record, Soft Machine 3 (just for Moon in June, Ruth Is...

5 stars A British Treasure
Robert Wyatt continues to inspire us with his wit, his musical talent and his sheer off the wall eccentricity. Bless him...

4 stars Another fine album from a classic
Here's more to love Mr. Wyatt for!

Great songs and fine tunes with heart from someone that feels like an old friend.

One thing though,.....Is this supposed to come with a booklet. Mine has an empty pouch that seems to be for one. Hmmmm....?

5 stars A godsend
Whenever Robert Wyatt puts out a record, it feels like a miracle has happened. So rarely do I become enthralled with a new release nowadays. 2007 has been an unusually excellent year for new releases, but this tops the list. "A.W.O.L." is perhaps one of Wyatt's greatest songs. It is reminiscent of "Shleep," though more stripped down. The whole record has the beautiful melancholic quality of each of his albums rolled into one. Pay attention, this one is for the ages.

Bless you, Robert.

Paz y Amor.
