Does what it says
I used this disc when sleeping, letting it repeat on my MP3 player all night. I slept deeply and soundly, and awoke feeling as if i had had an intense acupuncture treatment!

Every time i do so, i feel Physically loose and relaxed in my nervous, emotional and musculoskeletal systems. Also seems like a great preparation for meditators, who might find it hard to develop the mood for practice.

Lastly, i like most of the melodies, and even LOVE some. Some have too much of a New-Agey treatment and most have symphonic and what sounds like electronic embellishments (i could be wrong?)....but all this is a matter of personal taste.

For listening, i would suggest NOT getting hung up on the particulars of the music itself, but, instead, focusing on the wonderful effects that the listening provides!

Isn't it great when science and art work together in successful and unexpected ways?!

Beautiful and it really helps soothe the mind
I have anxiety and listening to this music has enabled me to relax and reach a meditative state of calmness. I also find, that when I am stressed I find myself humming the music to myself and it calms me.

Take a Relaxing, Imaginary Trip to China
I love this CD. Its flowing, lilting instrumental pieces are able to massage my mind and body. It features the Er-hu (Chinese fiddle), Pipa (Chinese flute), Gu-Zheng (Chinese long zither), as well as the more well known cello and flute. My mother, who lived in China when she was young, said it brings back many pleasant memories and she loves listening to it. The album was designed to be "a musical massage to press the right spots in your mind, to soothe your tense muscles and to let your spiritual power flow." Its done that for both of us.
