The Hidden Truth
I rely upon the customer reviews and take a chance when all comments are favorable. Anyone expecting to find a soothing CD to use as a peaceful background for relaxation or meditation should be forewarned.
This CD begins serenely until minute 12:00 when the tone becomes shrill and frenetic. This agony continues for a painfully long 2 minutes and then re-appears minute 23:00, 42:00, and finally in minute 53:00. Why these turbulent, high-pitched sounds were inserted is a mystery.
I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect from a CD with so much promise

Wind chimes are beautiful aren't they? Remember the ones in the movie Twister?
So here, it sounds like there are two, one melodic one which you here first and most which is soon accented by the tinkly sounds of fairies and Boading balls (you know, the couplet hollow steel balls you twirl in your hand? Those are great too, btw!)
Back to topic; this is a delicate sounding, hour long cd, which is perfect with it's brief moments of silence in between the 'music' of the chimes. It won't mask out any city sounds but it's absolutely ideal for inducing that deep sigh of blissful unwinding~~~and it's great for meditation, focus and even wonderful to fall asleep to, providing you keep it on pretty low volume, because the wind does play with it's toy a little vigorously at times which might startle!
What other adjectives would convince you? Enchanting? Charming? Splendid? How about-just plain Brilliant-and you so want this in your life! Really, you do!

SOOO RELAXING.
I LOVE THE TINKLING SOUND OF WIND CHIMES BUT, AS USUAL, MUST WAIT FOR A GOOD GUST OF WIND. AND SINCE THEY'RE OUTSIDE, FREQUENTLY MISS HEARING THEM. WHAT A FABULOUS SOLUTION! A WIND CHIME CD! EVEN MY 17YR. OLD GRANDSON WAS INTRIGUED. I PLUG IN MY HEADSET WHILE RECEIVING INFUSION THERAPY FOR HOURS AND FLOAT AWAY. OR, PLAY IT IN MY CAR. ROAD RAGE?? FORGET IT! IT'S SO NATURALLY CALMING ON THE NERVES, BUT THEN AGAIN, THERE ARE SOME FOLKS WHO JUST CAN'T STAND WIND CHIMES. I'VE HEARD OTHER CD'S OF WIND CHIMES AND THIS ONE IS THE SMOOTHEST, NON-JARRING, CONSTANT SOUNDING, WITH JUST THE RIGHT VARIATION OF TONE COMBINATIONS SO IT DOESN'T SOUND AS IF IT'S STUCK IN THE SAME LOOP. SOME OTHERS HAVE AN OCCASIONAL UNEXPECTED BASE CHIME, JUST ENOUGH TO BREAK THE SERENE MOOD. I PREFER VOL. 1 OVER VOL. 2. FOR THAT REASON.

Just Plain Relaxing
This is very well made. No sounds are produced electronically and every second is made naturally. Unlike some other wind chime tracks I've heard, this one is pure and simple. In addition to pure and simple, I can't say anything else except that it really helps me relax. This is a great addition to the Sounds of the Earth collection and a worthy cd when it comes to relaxing.

THIS IS A VERY NICE CD TO LISTEN TO FOR RELAXING ON HECTIC
DAYS. IT IS EXCELLENT TO LISTEN TOO WHEN GOING TO BED. I found that listening to chimes is a wonderful alternitive to listening to relaxation tapes with words. The soft sounds are more neutral than words and therefore it is easier to just relax without having to pay attention to the spoken word. This cd is a real "AHHHHHHHH"
