Pure Slow Jams
This is an excellent CD of Old School Jams. I have really enjoyed listening to the selections on this CD.

very soulful
i likes them slow jams and any set with Lenny Williams and the J 5 on it is gonna set the mood real proper.the music and the overall cuts on here are still timeless. i mean these songs can hang with anything before or since to be honest. float on is that kind of cut where you start to create your own character within the song and give up your zodiac sign. smmoth slow jams Yess Indeddy!!!!

Not the greatest collection
There are much better compilations in my opinion than what is on this
CD, why did I buy it then? I purchased it for my boyfriend, but the songs are just too familiar to spark any real emotions other than a sing along. We hardly play it at all. Just my opinion.

It's a pretty good collection...
Although individually the songs can stand on their own, I think the compilation could have been put together better. There are a couple of songs, you really don't want to listen to if you're in the middle of a serious "Quiet Storm" love power play! For instance, the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There" and Bill Withers' "Lean On Me", doesn't give off the same scent and vibe as "Cause I Love You" by Lenny Williams and "Float On" by the Floaters! Compilations should be smooth and even..like hot melted butter! But as I said, broken down song by song, it ain't bad.

I was taken aback
This CD is great. I grew up in the 70's and use to listen to my mom play some of these songs on the old 45 and 33 record player. These songs are truely classics and are great for reminiscing. Now that I am a mother I play these classics for my children so that they will have a great appreciation for the quiet storm classics. I recommend this CD for anyone who loves PURE slow jams classics.
