Amazing Find!
Stevie Wonder released his album in 1979. It's a beautiful homage to plants. The coolest funkiest song is called "Race Babbling" where Stevie emulates the voices of the plants. In the song, the plants put a call to help them help us:
"Help me people
Save you people
God's induction
Life's construction
These instruct
Will save every living thing
Can't you see that
Life's connected
You need us to live
Both we don't need you"
I hope you'll get it for your collection. And dance like crazy to this song!!
Best regards

This Secrert shouldn't be a secret
This was one of my all-time favorite albums back in the days of LP's - a double album, just as it now features 2 CD's. Journey through the Secret Life of Plants is so rich in textures, melodies, lyrics, it should not be a secret, as it sometimes seems to be. Oftentimes, even those who know and love the music of Stevie Wonder, have missed this musical gem. But, just like it's never too late to have a happy childhood, it's never too late to discover musical treasure, even if it's two decades down the road. If you've never heard this "Wonder"ful album, treat yourself now. From "the beginning", which is creation, to the loveliness of the wish to "come back as a flower" you'll be delighted by this "pistil-packing" musical adventure!

A Stevie Fan...
OK, I won't ordain myself as the ultimate stevie wonder fan, because I don't have the single 1,2,3 Sesame Street YET, but otherwise, I have EVERY single he's done and practically ALL of the CDs that he's made. I even have the Journey CD. It's pretty nice if you ask me.
OK, so I'm supposed to be reviewing the Journey CD, & it's pretty AWESOME. The titled track "Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants" has some major substance behind it. I didn't know how good this double (yes I said double) CD was until letting it jam a lil'. Check it out and see that the Boy Genius known as harmonica man did his thing in this CD.

For big fans only
This is a Soundtrack CD very few people ever saw this movie; mostly instrumental, with few vocal tracks; Difficult to decide what to make of that album and how to rate it..
However, due to his previous releases, SW was very hot at the time and everyone bought this album back in 1979.
I just bought it again on CD; simply because it's a rare CD to find and also because I am a big fan of Stevie Wonder; If you are not a CD collector or a new fan of this great artist, try instead:
1. Talking Book
2. Innervisions
3. Songs in the Key of life.
