Where's the quality?!?
The cruel joke is that WRQX released this CD, apparently thinking that Jack Diamond's name would sell anything. It's a misguided collection of uninspired rubbish-quality songs...

The sound is muddy, as though the recordings were ripped from cassettes. The results are simply unacceptable.

If you are in search of a great live recording cd, I highly recommend John Mayer's new release; "Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live In Los Angeles" It's Amazon rated Five-Stars...And,you won't hear even one Mix 107.3 noisy station promo! ;-)

Worth the money
This was very hard to find in stores so I ordered it in spite of the negative reviews I read at Amazon.com. I am quite pleased with the CD. It is definitely not full of polished versions of the songs. Most are intense live versions, some with improvisations. I look forward to the next CD, hopefully soon!

Should Have Contained an Apology to the Buyer
What "Zana L. Hintz" fails to mention are the endless "Mix 1073 Best Mix of Everything!" plugs on this CD. And, the lousy sound; A baby playing with a spatula and a set of pots and pans sounds way better than any song here.

I'd be curious to know how many 4 to 5 star reviews for this product were initiated from the Citadel radio station's ISP. I'll bet it's quite a few!! Something our local paper, the Washington Post, ought to look into.

Mix 107.3 CD
I love this CD...It includes most of my favorite songs from the last couple of years. And the live versions are wonderful.
I can't wait until the 2nd CD is released...so get on it Jack Diamond and your morning crew.

Very Disappointed! Mix 107.3: Best Mix of Everything, Vol. 1, The Jack Diamond Morning Show
First off, let me start out by saying that I am a HUGE FAN of the Jack Diamond Morning Show! I am one of the original Arbitron rated 13 listeners. So it goes without saying that I was really looking forward to this CD!

And, at the time when Mix 107.3 released "WRQX Mix 107.3: Best Mix of Everything, Vol. 1, The Jack Diamond Morning Show CD" I looked all over, but could not find it ANYWHERE!! Naturally, I thought this was a good sign! Was I wrong!!!

There are two glaring problems with this CD. The first is terrible sound quality. I played this CD in my car, on my 7-speaker surround-sound home stereo system, and I even took it to BBuy where their audio guys played it through the store's "sound wall" multi-speaker setup. Pair after pair of speakers confirmed the poor quality (scratchiness and hollow sound) on this disc. Although, we found that if you turn the bass way up it can mask some of the echoes and scratchy chirps. 2) The second problem is the radio show plugs at the end of several songs announcing the Jack Diamond Morning Show and Mix 107.3 as the "Best Mix of Everything." Frankly, I found hearing these ads over and over again to be pretty annoying. These interuptions seemed tacky and an additional distraction to the music.

Now, I know that I could have eventually gotten over listening to the repetitive station ads at the end of the songs. However, I could not bear to listen to the poor sound quality of this disc.

Jack, if you're reading this and are seriously considering a volume II, please learn from this disc's mistakes - improve the sound quality by A LOT! Also, dump those annoying station plugs.

Yes, this is a BAD cd, but Jack's got a GREAT morning radio show!!! And, I will continue listening to the Jack Diamond Morning Show every day..."Love yer' show babe"!!!!!! = )
