Product Description: It's hard not to start feeling sentimental after hearing the loose collection of love ballads that comprise the Notting Hill soundtrack. The romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant is filled with the modern sounds of love--as sung by everyone from pop harmonizers (Boyzone, 98 Degrees) to classic soulsters (Bill Withers, Al Green). The Spencer Davis Group's "Gimme Some Lovin'" adds a garage-rock edge, but if you're not up for slow-burning love tunes, this soundtrack probably isn't for you. Two guitar-based score tracks from composer Trevor Jones fill out Notting Hill and add nice instrumental touches to the disc. --Jason Verlinde

Small Problem
This CD as well as a previous CD I ordered from Amazon came with a cracked plastic case. Didn't affect the CD, but rendered the storage cases ineffective.
Thanks, Pat Blount

Knotting Hill
A very gentle fun romantic movie. Cast is wonderful, all actors brilliant. I enjoyed every minute of it. The Soundtrack is worth picking up as well.

What a great CD!!!
This CD has some great recordings and will never grow old or outdated with time. I bought it for Elvis Costello's rendition of "She," but I love the whole CD.

"Notting Hill" soundtrack
This soundtrack is great. I especially like the rendition of "She" by Elvis Costello. This is very much a great romantic and slow dance soundtrack.

A very nice Soundtrack for a good film
My wife and I saw the movie in the theatre and purchased the movie on DVD and the soundtrack. We enjoy many of the songs on this CD. My favorite is "Say Nothing at All" by Ronan Keating, (one of the Boyzone members). Boyzone's "No Matter What" written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Shania Twain's "You've Got a Way" are used in the closing credits of the film and two great songs. Bill Wither's great song "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" is perfect for one scene in the movie. The bonus tracks were added as fill since they weren't used in the film. Techno version of "Ain't No Sunshine" is okay. Costello's "She" isn't a favorite of mine. I believe his voice isn't right for this song. Trevor Jones original musical score I believe is especially nice. Al Green's "How to Mend a Broken Heart" is used well in the film, but does not appeal to my tastes. Hope you enjoy the CD and have seen the film.
