Beautiful Songs and Music
I purchased this album for one song (A Song for My Son). While listening to the album I discovered that the rest of the songs were also really beautiful. The album also encloses the words for the songs, so you can sing along as I did while you dance. "A Song for My Son" is the song that my son and I danced to for the mother son dance at his wedding reception. The words were just what I wanted to say to him and it was a very memorable occasion for us. I wish I had had this song for my oldest sons wedding some 10 years ago. I also thought the songs "A Song for My Daughter", songs for the Bride one from the Dad and the one from the Mom, where excellent. I am going to share this album with other family members that enjoyed the song and have children who will marry soon. If there is a wedding in your future this is a great album for many special events during the reception. Enjoy!!!

Cheesy, schmaltzy, songs that no one has ever heard of...
I agree with the reviewer who suspects that all the glowing reviews of this CD have been "planted" by the artist's friends and the like. First of all, these songs are just plain bad. The vocals are amateur. Secondly, none of these songs have ever charted, so your wedding guests won't really be able to relate to the songs because they've never heard them before. There are plenty of popular songs that would go over much better in these situations. Sorry, but musically I have to give this CD and others like it a big, fat "F".

A Great Selection Of Special Songs
After reading about "A Song For My Son" and "A Song For My Daughter" in Good Housekeeping Magazine I wanted to hear these songs for our wedding. It was helpful to know I could hear sound clips and read the words to all the songs at

After I heard the clips and read the words I knew that the songs on this CD would make my wedding day even more special.
I thought I was going to surprise our parents with "A Song For My Son" and " A Song For My Daughter" but they already heard the songs at a few weddings and were thrilled that I got the CD. My mother in law to be broke down and cried when I told her that I had "A Song For My Son". I guess she has always wanted that song for her mother groom dance but didn't know where to get it.
This CD has meaningful songs beautiful music and great singers.

THE VERY BEST WEDDING CD
I purchased quite a few wedding CDs from amazon to find just the right wedding songs.
I have to say of all the CDs this is the one I love the most.
I have been sharing my research with friends and family and they all agree that the songs on this CD are the best of all.
This CDs has many different singers so that the voices really match the songs. And the music is beautiful too.
I am grateful that I found a wedding CD with words and music that will always remind us of a perfect wedding day.

I wish I had heard the sound clips before purchasing
I've purchased a few wedding CDs, since I am doing research for possibily coming out with my own wedding CD, and I wish I had heard the songs before I purchased this. I am a classicaly-trained musician who plays weddings (I play violin) and I also play in orchestras. Don't get me wrong, the songs are OK, but I agree with a previous reviewer who said that the singer sounds like a bad lounge singer. This music is what you might hear at a wedding at a bar or in a movie like "My Cousin Vinny." Not all great wedding music has to be classical (although much of it is), but you should know what you're getting, and with no sound clips, it might not be obvious to the non-musician. It strikes me as funny that almost every review does not list a name, not even a "fake" name, and they almost all say "A music fan." I think this reviewer is the person/people who made the CD, and they are adding their own positive reviews to these listings. However, there are a couple of negative ones thrown in for good measure, so maybe either I'm wrong, or those bad ones are to offset the real ones so they look "real." Am I being a little parnoid? Perhaps, althought this all seems a little fishy. So, BEWARE! There seems to be a LOT this going on in the occasional music section of Amazon, particularly with wedding music. I guess that at least on Amazon, there's nothing you can do about it-you just have to listen to the clips and use your ears, and for this CD there are none.
