Product Description: The Canon Pixma MP530 is a versatile all-in-one unit combines printing, scanning, faxing, and copying capabilities in one compact, space-saving device that delivers fast, professional results job after job.

You can use the MP530 to print both photos and text, copy important papers, fax documents and forms, and scan personal notebooks and photos. Featuring a productive 30-page automatic document feeder that can copy, scan, or fax multiple-page documents, this powerful unit prints up to 29 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white and 19 ppm in color, and delivers a borderless 4-by-6-inch photo in about 51 seconds. Fax at up to 33.6 kbps in color or black and white, store 40 speed-dial codes and enjoy the convenience of the 150-page fax memory that safely stores all incoming faxes if paper or ink runs out. Finally, the built-in scanner offers 1200 x 2400 dot-per-inch (dpi) optical resolution with 48-bit color depth for vibrant images.

Thanks to its 1,856 precision nozzles, the MP530 offers exceptional print resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, and ink droplets the size of one picoliter produce exceptionally detailed photos. And you can enjoy these results immediately by taking advantage of the click-connect-print option. Simply capture an image with a PictBridge-ready digital camera or DV camcorder, then connect and print--it's that easy. Additionally, the USB 2.0 interface enables the fastest possible image transfers and scanning speeds, while the dual color gamut processing technology automatically optimizes copy quality based on the type of originals you are copying. This means that you can always trust the MP530 to deliver the highest quality materials to help keep your business productive.

Customer Reviews

3 stars Decent printer, very expensive cartridges
I wanted an all-in-one printer that printed graphics and paintings well, and included a good scanner, and could also fax in a pinch. This device fits that bill (although the color on the scanner is a little jacked sometimes).

The printer takes a long time to get started, but once it goes, it prints quickly enough. I like the way the feeds work and I haven't had a jam. I've printed watercolors with this, and the look like they were hand painted. I'm completely satisfied with the quality. I don't print photos, as I think it is a lot faster easier and cheaper to let Snapfish or Kodak do that for me, but for art projects, it is great.

The problem with this printer is that the cartridges are ridiculously expensive. Replacing all 5 cartridges costs at least $50. That is crazy! In addition, refilling cartridges is difficult due to their rather draconian chips. I'm not sure what brand is better, but buyer beware the cartridges on this otherwise nice product.

5 stars great all in one
always had good luch with canon and the tradition continues. Great all in one at a great price

1 stars Great Printer when it works.
I purchased my Canon in December of 2006 and used it often for about 2 to 3 months then it shut down and would not come back on no matter what I did. I took it in for Warranty repair and it seems that the warranty repair company had to replace every component in the machine. After almost 2 months I got my printer back and it worked for a couple more months and then quit completely again. The printer I purchased was brand new however my only choice was to have it repaired again or have Canon sent me a refurbished one. Which at this point I decided that a refurbished one might be my best bet. I was not happy that I would receive a refurbished printer either, after all, it was only a couple months old. I then received my refurbished printer in a couple of days and everything has worked fine until about two months ago when I started having ink cartridge issues. Only two of the cartridges will light up unless I fiddle with them until I get them all to light but the first three, from left to right, are not brightly lit like they were previously. Now it is no longer useable as it continuously shows that the ink cartridges are low even after changing them and my fax has stopped working also. I loved the features for the price and the quality of the printing but I am now very unhappy with this printer because of all the problems and hassles I have had with it and it is now out of warranty so what good is it to me? I have had a Canon printer previously and never had any issues with it.

5 stars Canon Pixma MP530
Just got this all-in-one a little while ago. Haven't tried all
the features yet, but its been GREAT!! so far.

1 stars Worst printer I have ever owned
After less than a month, the cartridges started sending error messages, Replaced all of them with no resolution. Printer will not work at all now. I have owned dozens of printers and this is the worst.
