Dreadful rubbish
I've owned a DELL laptop for a couple of years with more than satisfactory results. Then I thought Dell's so far "acclaimed" PDA will somehow went the same direction, and selected it as replacement for my lost HP 1945 Pocket PC.
Terrible mistake.
Since the very first day, I've been unable to sync it via USB cable. I've managed to do it via bluetooth, but then it only can sync with my PC. Also, a month after i've purchased it, the power on/off switch started being defective, which leaded to a complete collapse of the PDA and a full replacement for a "brand new one" (Dell customer service still very good, must say) some weeks after. Since then , the "brand new" PDA keeps restarting every since and when as you turn it on, sometimes switchs off suddenly, drains battery in record time and constantly shuts off the Bluetooth port. Also, sometimes displays a message stating "battery latch has been opened! the system was put on a stand by condition to prevent data loss". Not to mention the fact that is probably the heaviest PDA available in the market, which is definitively a handicap when you spend the whole day in meetings changing places. Not to mention the craddle port, which seems made of cheap plastic and broke within a few months of use. Dell reliability reputation has going down the pan in this issue, and as far as i'm concerned, will sell this device as soon as i have an oportunity and probably purchase an HP or maybe give a try with a blackberry.

Good but needs trueVGA
This item is great. My only complain it that the start menu bar and the bar at the bottom of the screen are too large. ozVGA and other trueVGA utilities fix this, though, though not entirely without new problems. I highly recommend it, though you might want to look at the other Pocket PC's that have the newer Intel processor.
These can be upgraded to have 128MB RAM, and you can even upgrade it to Windows Mobile 6, if you look hard enough.

A nice handheld device
I like this hand held that I bought 2 years back and is working without any problem.. it is sleek, very light and fast.. Its big screen has good resolution and looks very beautiful... It takes both CF and SD cards and is fast enough to read them and do the copies between device, SD & CF card... I am using 1 GB CF and 2 GB SD card.
Its very easy to use... I love its WiFi feature and also the bluetooth connectivity with other devices..
I am very happy to have this product and will continue to use it in future too even if the newer versions may be faster as it solves the purpose.
I would recommend this product highly.

Works excellent with GPRS
I have a Sony Ericcson W300 and it works great with the Internet GPRS connection using the Bluetooth.
The Axim is great, worth the price!

Excellent PDA
I purchased this PDA 4 months ago and I can tell you it's the best companion you can have after few updates from www. Aximsite.com (I highly recommend Rom A12 and fake server technique to control the active synchronization and most important remove the odyssey client from your start up windows ... all at aximsite) . it is quick, elegant and intelligent. Am a graduate student (MDs) and we do a lot of literature and this piece of technology helped me a lot.. it had 2 memories (CF, SD) so there is a lot of space and many soft ware can be installed and function smoothly (check Pocket-Pc-magazine) it organize your schedule, keep u always in connection (blue tooth, WL) But you have to be patient you need to know few tweaks to customize it (having a nice today screen and so on..) do not forget to get a durable aluminum or magnesium case to protect your expensive PDA and screen protector... be aware that extended battery need special case (it increases the width of your machine) finally if you not always away from a desk (like in my case:) no need to have the travel kit I really wasted its cost cause I had 2 extra battery no need for car charging also hard cases is elegant and more protective than one fancy leather case...another piece I wasted its cost:( over all am happy with it. I wish also that you do (x51v is the last model in Dell PC they do not manufacture it any more but technical service is available) especially if your are not a follow to the high edge machines.. cause HTC, O2 dose not give break to any wallet to get fat...
