Great phone
This is an excellent phone. I love the look and feel of it, the screen is very nice and the menus are easy to navigate, similar to a cell phone.
The quality of the speakers on both the handset and the base is great.
I love the option of sending a call straight to the answering machine if I don't want to answer, instead of waiting for the machine to pick up.
The "hold" music is a little odd (a bad electronic rendition of the first movement of Mozart Symphony #40), but it can be easily disabled through the settings menu.
I also love the fact that the phone is actually made in Germany by decently paid EU workers, and not in some factory in China. To me, that fact alone is worth paying a higher price.
I did have a problem with the caller ID not working when I first plugged in the phone. However, I figured out this was a problem with the phone outlet in my kitchen and not the phone itself. I plugged it into a different outlet and now it works perfectly.
Overall this is one of the best phones you can buy. I highly recommend it.

Terrible Vendor Support
Received defective product. Called Siemens and they verified defect and asked that I return it to vendor - Antonline. Vendor gave me RMA number and stated that I needed to pay for return (even though it was defective). There response was "You are responsible for return shipping. Just like you would have to take a defective or buyers remorse return item back to the brick and mortar store you purchased it from or send it back to the manufacturer for warranty service". They use the internet to sell product, yet when it comes time to return defective product they play by the rules of what they refer to as a "brick and mortar store". Finally, read over their explanation of why it takes up to 30 days to credit your account. Its so convoluted that it really goes out of its way to insult ones intellegence.

very good phone, some small issues
The phone has excellent audio quality, specially the speakerphone, but be aware of the 'mute button' elevator music, make sure to turn this off it the opposite what you expect from 'mute'. The answering machine has 35 min of storage and lets you know how much is left, the audio quality again is miles above the AT&T I had before.
If there is a drawback its the 'Call Waiting' part. Its seems the only time call waiting works as one expects is when you are on an 'internal' call and receive an 'external' one.
The display is bright and easy to read the instructions pretty clear.

It is a very good telephone, I like it!
It is the best phone I ever had. Very good voice quality, a very long standby and talk time, the menue is very easy like a selphone. For me the best phone ever.

Good phone with some flaws
After using this phone for about a year, i've found the core features are all solid: sound quality, range, talk time, nice menu and ringtones, and best/cleanest looking cordless phone on the market. I would probably buy this phone again for lack of better options on the market.
Flaws are:
- no true mute feature, only a call hold, so not sure how this can be used for conf calls or business uses
- keypad is very, very slow, there's almost a 2 second delay between pushing a botton and getting the result of that key press. this is very annoying, but also leads to double key presses, etc.
- supports only one phone line, knew this before buying, but would be nice to support more lines, forward calls to second line, etc. panasonic and motorola do have features.
