5 stars First Time Mac User Loves It
I recently got rid of 4 home based PCs and replaced it with 1 iMac. The management of users on one PC is done very seamlessly and our children picked it up quite easily (ages 6 & 4).

I would recommend this to anyone, just bear in mind that things are generally easier on the Mac. So if something seems hard at first, take a step back and use it's help (which is written very well).

Kudos Apple!

5 stars Nirvana achieved!
This product is my 6th Macintosh computer and is absolutely excellent in every way. The goodies provided with it, such as iWeb, iLife, Phone Booth, Time Machine, etc. are a dream come true. The downside - now my infatuation with and addiction to the iMac, which I had sort of gotten under control, can only grow drastically worse! I am doomed!

5 stars big computer is a big hit
The 24-inch iMac is huge. I can see two pages at 150% and more. And the new keyboard is fantastic. I've been a Macintosh user since 1985, but this is the best ever. One bit of advice. One gig of ram is not enough. I had to purchase another gig and install it myself. No problem.

4 stars A solid all-around desktop computer
I've been a Mac user since the Mac Plus in the late 80's. Apple generally makes well-built machines with decent performance and this iMac is no exception. I have one of these aluminum iMacs at home as well as an identical one at work.

Pros:
- Stylish and sleek.
- Very quiet running so you can concentrate on your work.
- Fast enough for all the things I need to do.
- I thought I'd hate the keyboard but it just feels different than most and I still type the same speed or faster.
- The ability to run Windows in a virtual machine like Parallels.
- The Mac OS is powerful and stable.

Cons:
- The LCD panel on the 20" model has terrible viewing angles and color fidelity. Get the 24" instead.
- The Mighty Mouse scroll nub constantly gums up and jams.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my iMac which is important because I'm using it 8+ hours a day. However, I'm disappointed Apple was cheap with the 20" display. While it's adequate for my work tasks, at home it's useless when trying to edit and correct photos in an image editor. You never know if what you see is what you'll get (WYSIWYG) when you print it. Ironic because WYSIWYG was one of the features Apple touted in the original Macs. If they would have at least revealed the type of panel it was in their technical specifications, I would have avoided it all together and spent the extra $300 for the 24" model at home. The previous generation (white) 20" iMac had a high quality LCD panel in it.

5 stars Oh, yes!
Waited and waited for Apple to upgrade this machine, and when I saw the miniscule improvements that were made to the newer model, I jumped on this one at a great price. This is my third mac, and my most recent prior to this one was an emac (which I loved until its hard drive was overflowing). I LOVE this machine. It is FAST, and the hard drive is large enough. Transferring all my stuff from my old machine was a breeze with firewire. I didn't even have to re-install my third-party internet software -- just unplugged the ethernet cable from my old machine and popped it into the back of this lovely thing. It is almost absolutely silent. If I listen hard, I can barely hear the fan running. The glossy screen is a non-issue for me because I keep the monitor perpendicular to my desk and therefore have no problems with reflection/glare in my current set-up. I just might be in love!
