Product Description: Should several of the tracks on the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller find their way onto your MP3 player, you're going to have to admit: the music holds up. "Beat It" is not about to go stale, at least not without a rumble, and neither are "Billie Jean" and "P.Y.T." Even if you put the record-hurtling hits aside, you're still left with the realization that without MJ, there might not have been a JT [Justin Timberlake], never mind a Ne-Yo (listen closely to "Human Nature" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"). The bonus DVD bundled with the expanded CD includes a digitally redone version of the famous title-track video, among other clips, and it still astonishes with its choreography and attitude. As for the new tracks--Fergie inserts herself into "Beat It," Will.i.am takes on "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T.," Kanye West remixes "Billie Jean" (with characteristically subtle brilliance), Akon duets with M-Jack on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," and the unreleased ballad "For All Time" (from the original Thriller sessions) is shined up and tacked on--they will suck you in like it was pop music's hugest year, 1983, all over again. Start brushing up on your moonwalk now. --Tammy La Gorce

Customer Reviews

2 stars Thriller?
I rememeber when Thriller first came out and every one was in it to it.I for one must say that some of the songs are good but as whole album it falls flat.If you want a great Michael Jackson album from start to finish I would highly recommend his best album period:Off THe Wall!!! Off The Wall was on the billboard hot 100 albun charts for like 8 years!!!! what does that tell you? Thriller was on there for maybe a year tops.Off The Wall sold 10 million records and 10 million tapes.I say download maybe PYT and Human Nature from I-Tunes.Thriller got old for me real quick and the songs get real tiresome.I real over rated album.Off the Wall on the other hand, every song is great from start to finish. The songs from Off THe Wall still hold up well today.

5 stars Nice 25 anniversery addition!:)
I love Thriller and have the orginal one when I heard they were re realsing it I had to get it:). Especially since there is really good remixes of his classic hits including, P.Y.T. remix with Will I am very nice mix, also Fergie teams up with The King of Pop on Beat it:) and many more over all this is a great album. I reccomend it to everyone you wont be disapointed!:)

2 stars A Few Thoughts
Someone once told me this is the biggest selling album ever.

The sequencing is pretty screwy. The song "Thriller" should have ended side 2.

I believe Billie Jean's side of the story.

Why didn't they include "Stranger in Moscow"?

5 stars "He made Thriller, man.." - Dave Chappelle
I was watching an episode of the Chappelle Show once and in it there was a hilarious skit about him being a juror in an MJ trial and he defends MJ's 'innocence' I think this line which he says pretty much sums up, the magnificence of Michael Jackson and why he will always be the King of pop.

I grew up in the time when this album was released, and some of the tunes on this record are still dance hall classics. No matter what genre you belong to, Death Metal, Classical, Jazz, Indie poop, or whatever. Thriller would have touched your musical element at some point in your existence.
This album is a classic record, right from Beat it to Billie Jean, Ballads - Human Nature and Lady in my life (MJ goes supernova on this track, whatta love song).. every track on this album is pure gold and am glad to see they are celebrating 25 years in a befitting tribute to this record.
This album is a benchmark and i do recommend for you to get this CD.
Great Times!
