Product Description: This is the fifth studio album from Children Of Bodom.Lead singer Alexi Laiho told Finland's Soundi magazine that 'Are You Dead Yet?' features some completely new influences. The follow-up to 2003's 'Hate Crew Deathroll' will 'be even more straight-forward than its predecessor and will contain some industrial elements while retaining COB's trademark sound, including the super-fast guitar and keyboard solos. Universal. 2005.

Customer Reviews
Good but not the best
This album has very similar tracks throughout, but is a good album for a fan of Children of Bodom.

COB is amazing!
This album is just as good as if not better than Hatebreeders. If you like the new album BlOodDrunk youll like this album even more.Yeah!

super!
this is a great album, the songs are intense!! children of bodom have the talent of creating hard core songs without loosing a varied melody. the instrumentals are technically awesome and have a sufficient range giving each song it's own flavour and unlike a lot of other artists i don't confuse one song with another. on this album i'd have to say that my preferred track is are you dead yet?. i've loved this song for quite some time and no matter how many time i listen to it it never gets old or repetitive. next i guess would be living dead beat and trashed, lost and strung out... but honestly all the tracks are pretty good.

pretty damn good
Just started listening to metal, and this group rocks pretty hard.
Going by these reviews that hate this album, apparently more clean vocals = selling out. So sell out, COB, sell out! If it makes any difference, you still can't really tell what the hell he is saying.
Listen to the end of Are You Dead Yet?, Next In Line, and several others, and I wouldn't call that 'soft music'.
Anyway, I'd suggest this to people trying to get into metal but can't because the vocals you either have to get really used to or ignore completely to be able to enjoy. I'd put this down as something you have to get used to, but at least it isn't crappy like death or black metal vocals or cheesy like a lot of power metal.
Favorites:
Are You Dead Yet?
Somebody Put Something In My Drink
If You Want Peace... Prepare For War
Next In Line has a great intro and ending.
Hardest rockers on this album, I would say would have to be 3, 7 and 8.
