4 stars Waste Rock Ranger!
Good collection! Has the long awaited b-side "Wasted Rock Ranger!" Only complaint is that it doesn't have enough songs from the album "hooked". Other wise it would be perfect!

5 stars Best of the best of
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago in 1987 I bought the single "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" on a cassette because I couldn't wait for the album to be released. On the B side of "OBTS" was this little ditty called "Wasted Rock Ranger". Well I listened to "WRR" more than "Once Bitten". Go figure. Now, imagine my disappointment when the CD came out and it DIDN"T!! have "Wasted Rock Ranger" on it. Years & years passed and then finally one day I found a release of it on this CD. I may not have purchased this elsewise because I already own a "Best Of". Thank goodness I did buy this - it is the best of the best of Great White. I have always loved this band and then I fell in love with them again when I got this CD into my player. I love, love, love the extended version of "Face The Day". The live stuff on here really rocks too. Great White is up there in my favorite band category. Put it in and you want to listen to them all day and all night. (Peat & Reapeat, YEAH!)

4 stars The best from the best
Great White in my mind is one of the greatest bands ever to play hard rock/heavy blues music. They are right there with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Thier music, while not the most groundbreaking, was pure and filled with emotion. Anyone of the tracks on this greatest hits collection is a song that fits a mood. Once Bitten, Twice Shy puts you in that feel good mood. Songs like House of Broken Love and Mista Bone are perfect for that early morning drive through south eastern California and by the time you got into las Vegas there was songs like Rock Me and Lady Red Light. Great music for all good times

I just love this band and it really upsets me that when most people hear the name Great White, they will think of the Tragedy that killed 100. I try to forget that sad day, but for the band, that is not an option. The fact of the matter is that they should have been rock icons by 2003 and not playing death traps like that place in Rhode Island. Now, I see that people are making jokes about that day. Do people have any care for anyone?

That is not the point. This is one of the greatest bands in the last 25 years and this CD is good for starters that would like to hear something that is greatly under-rated

5 stars Very good
The cd was purchased as a Christmas gift and I assume everything was fine with it. Your service was excellent and was received in a timely manner. Thank you

5 stars Best Cover of all time
Suffice it to say, this cd has all of the familiar Great White stand-bys, "Once bitten twice shy, "Afterglow" (live). But what this cd has that no other cd in the world does (and I know because I've looked high and low for it), is a cover of Led Zepplin's "Babe I'm Leavin' you." Now, I know what you are thinking; "Hey, there is a version of that cover on another Great White compilation cd!" This is true. However, that version on the other compilation was performed on stage at a huge outdoor concert and the only thing that sounded worse than the band being out of time was the terrible mixing from the sound board. The version I am referring to was taped for "MTV Unplugged." I have never been a huge fan of Great White. They are a good band with a considerable amount of talent, write well, and are great musicians, but when they performed that cover on "Unplugged", they captured, in that song, the passion and intense regret and pain that Robert Plant had intended but could not convey as well. Robert Plant is a legend, an icon of rock, a master of phrasing, arranging, and not not without passion of his own and even he said when asked about the cover that he wished he could have done as good a job on that song originally!!! The price for this disc is more than worth it for just that track. Highest recommendation!!!
