nothing you havent heard
iam sorry but all the reviews on this were mostly positive but,i have to be negative.This album lacks enyoyment,it is almost like micheal tramp lock him self in a room ,with some people, and said lets make a reunion cd.The songs lack punch ,excitement like the big game cd,or the first one.There are a few good rockers on here but for the most part it just the same old sound.I have micheal tramps solo cds and freaks of nature,and i know he can do better .If you want to try reuion cds try white snake or deff leppard this one is not worth it

The White Lion Returns!
After purchasing and listening to this album, I can say that I was quite content to hear a REAL band making music once more! In this media circus of basically One Hit Wonders, White Lion shines like a diamond in the rough. Having paid their dues (musically and otherwise)since the 80's, they have returned with the same classic White Lion sound that has earned them their claim to fame. I see no vocal diminishment in Mike Tramp's vocal abilities, and the rest of the band play their instruments as skillfuly as when I first saw the perform Live in 1987! This album will not dissapoint!

White Lion
Get out the cat nip and a scratching post- and forget about any color challenged endangered species, the legion known as White Lion has resurged with a new cd and summer tour.

Many will remember White Lion from their highly successful run in the 80's and early 1990's and double platinum status for their mega hit "When the Children Cry" off of the album "Pride". The band then became MTV darlings and also made the tour circuit as openers for everyone from Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Stryper, KISS and AC/DC on their Blow Up Your Video American tour. The result was that Pride became one of about 20 hard rock albums to ever have multiple top 10 hits and the band, exhausted and stretched, disbanded in 1992.

Lead singer Mike Tramp has now reformed with all new musicians (Jaime Law, guitars, Troy Patrick Farrell, drums, Claus Langeskov, bass and Henning Wanner, keyboards) and released "Return of the Pride" a 12 track romp through stadium guitar solo anthem, mournful ballad with a dash of soul and funk riffs. What the cd lacks in songs that at times can be a bit pedantic lyrically, it more than makes up for in delivery. Tramp has always been an impressive vocalist and he doesn't fail to relinquish that vocal guarantee fans have come to expect. Live tracks such as "Wait" and "When the Children Cry" are picture perfect cigarette lighter anthems, proving that while "Return of the Pride" is a palatable offering; White Lion's true forte is the open stage. Notably, Guitarist Law is an impressive shredder who gives former member Vitto Bratto a run for his guitar pick.

Other noteworthy songs include "Sangre de Cristo", "Battle of Little Big Horn" and "Let Me Be Me".

Worth a listen, worth seeing live, White Lion can still purr with best of them.

Excellent return
When I first saw this album on sale and I read that none of the originals members but Mike recordered this album, I though it will be a Mike Tramp's solo carrer "kind of" album; I glad I was wrong, I can't deny that I really miss the Vito Bratta playing but I should accept that this album can be compared with any of the whiteLion's Albums and it is as good as any of them. It is a very well ballanced album and has the original sound and style that made them famous, and in my opinion Mike does one of his best jobs in songwriting, the years have given him experience and I can see more mature lyrics, If you liked any of the early whitelion's records you should give this record an oportunity, I'm sure it will not dissapointed you

This is not the train wreck that I was expecting! Mike Tramp sounds a little tired but there are some good ideas here. The song structures are interesting and I like the epics Sangre De Cristo and Battle of Little Big Horn.
